The last round of Campionato Italiano GT, just before summer break, has been taking place at the Mugello Circuit in the middle of July. This time, all classes have been merged into the same event with not less than 30 cars on the track. Saturday’s Race 1 was won by BMW Team Italia with drivers Cerqui and Comandini on BMW M6 GT3. In second place Easy Race with Schirò and Cioci (Ferrari 488 GT3), then Scuderia Baldini with Cheever Jr. and Malucelli (Ferrari 488 GT3). In the minor class the victory went to Vincenzo Sospiri Racing (D’Amico/Cazzaniga), 9th overall position, followed by Antonelli Motorsport (Takashi/Karol) and Vincenzo Sospiri Racing again (Ortiz/Liang Lja), which so placed another car in the final podium.
The Race 2 of sunday afternoon was triumphed by Black Bull Swiss Racing of Gai/Venturi (Ferrari 488 GT3) followed by respectively in second and third place by Antonelli Motorsport car no. 63 (Agostini/Zampieri) and Easy Race (Schirò/Cioci), which resulted as the only team to obtain two podiums in the main class during the weekend. Looking at the minor class, Antonelli Motorsport got the first and third place (10th and 12nd overall position), while Vincenzo Sospiri Racing took the second place with car no. 101 of Liang Lja and Ortiz, after the third place of the precedent day.
