In 2018 the Temple of Speed (Monza circuit) is the venue of annual Finali Mondiali Ferrari weekend, the traditional year-end event organized by Ferrari. Two races for all three Ferrari Challenge divisions (Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific) assigns the continental title and three World Finals (Trofeo Pirelli, Coppa Shell and Coppa Shell AM) with all drivers combined coming from those divisions.
In the most important World Final of Trofeo Pirelli, Niklas NIELSEN from Denmark (Formula Racing) got the title after a really challenged race against the italian David FUMANELLI, who placed second with a gap less than a second and third place for german driver Jens LIEBERHAUSER. In the Coppa Shell World Final, the victory was achived by Christophe HURNI (CHE) of Team Zenith Sion – Lausanne, second podium position for Thomas TIPPL (USA) racing for Ferrari of Beverly Hills and third place for Manuela GOSTNER (ITA) of Ineco MP Racing. Finally, in the Coppa Shell AM World Final, the title went to Ingvar MATTSSON (SWE) of Scuderia Autoropa with a 3 second margin on second placed Agata SMOLKA (POL) of Rossocorsa team and with 7 second on third placed John MEGRUE (USA), who run for Ferrari of Long Island.
All three Ferrari Challenge World Champions come from the Europe division and two women (Manuela Gostner and Agata Smolka) got very important results with two second places.
