International GT Open Monza 2019

The International GT Open season 2019 ended at the “Temple of Speed” with the overall victory for Emil Frey Racing (Lamborghini Huracan GT3) and its drivers Albert COSTA and Giacomo ALTOE’, despite they closed fourth in both races. The spanish/italian duo got 128 points in the final drivers standing, while their teammates Mikael GRENIER and Norbert SIEDLER only 116. Teo Martin Motorsport with Martin KODRIC and Henrique CHAVES, who reached 116 points in the classification, concluded third due to less victories than the Emil Frey Racing drivers.
In Monza’s race 1, SPS Automotive Performance Mercedes #10 of Miguel RAMOS and Fabrizio CRESTANI took the chequered flag in first position followed with only 0.380s by Antonelli Motorsport #6 (Spinelli and Agostini) and Optimum Motorsport #96 of Wilkinson and Turner. As said previously, Emil Frey Racing #63 of Costa and Altoè closed fourth gaining 8 important points in the overall championship.
Race 2 taken on sunday as seen Teo Martin Motorsport total leadership with two cars in first and second place: Martin KODRIC and Henrique CHAVES preceeded their teammates Fran RUEDA and Andres SARAVIA. Third position in last race of the year for Siedler and Grenier of Emil Frey Racing. Once again, the fourth position for Albert COSTA and Giacomo ALTOE’ was enough for claiming the 2019 title for them and the swiss racing team.
