The Lignano Open 2017 (an Alps Tour Golf event) had a thilling end because of an exciting playoff match between two same-nationality couple of players: Markus HABELER and H.P. BACHER from Austria and Xavier PONCELER and Robin ROUSSEL from France. All these players had a score of 16 strokes under par after 3 rounds (54 holes) and they played the playoff match at the 18th hole. Despite what everyone could think, the playoff match was over just after the first run with the austrian golfer who scored a birdie and got the victory at the Lignano Golf Club. In fifth position (tied) Lukas NEMECZ and Jack McDONALD.
The first home golfer Marco ARCHETTI placed in T15 with 11 strokes under par, while the amateur victory was got by another italian player: Takayuli MATSUI in T18 position with 10 strokes under par.
